Hi… I am Aylwin (aka “Bob”). Am not sure why Wordpress does not allow me to use “admin” instead of “Bob” for all the postings. I have tried all available means but guess it is fated ! Haha… =P

This is my secondary website of “Aylwin’s Digital SLR Journey” as it focuses on 1-2 big picture per post instead of sets of galleries. These big pictures are a part of the various sets of galleries found on the main website itself. My intention is to have 2 websites (1 as a photo blog with galleries, and the other as a portfolio which features selected pictures). This website will also show MORE BIG PICTURES, and LESS WORDS ! =)

From my younger days, I have always liked photography and I vividly remember my first film camera was a Pentax Zoom camera. I would go around just taking shots of scenaries, objects and people. Back then, it is a costly mistake whenever I find my photos turn out blur (cost of purchasing films and developing the photos). As time passes by, I slowly got myself one of the first digital camera (Canon PowerShot S20) which is a 3 megapixel camera. Things started to change for me as now I can snap any photos and still not invoke any costly mistakes ! I stayed on with digital compact cameras until one fine day, my eyes were opened to the word of DSLR by a friend ! From then… well… you should get the “picture” by now !

Here you will be able to view photos which shows the “horrible”/beginner shots when I first started using my Canon EOS 1000D… and photos of other shots after those, as my techniques improve along the way. Currently, I have upgraded to a Canon EOS 40D and purchased another Canon EOS 400D ( as a backup camera body) to further pursue my interest in this field. I will also share with you the various lens and accessories that I have owned or planning to purchase along the journey.

Please feel free to offer your comments in whichever way possible so that I can share and further improve on my techniques and knowledge for this hobby !
